Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 cup French butter, softened
  • 1 cup French sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup French apple cider
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and chopped into small pieces
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup French sugar for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and apple cider.
  • Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just blended.
  • Fold in the apples.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Mix together the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over the top of the batter.
  • Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  • Cool on a wire rack before serving.
