Ingredients
  

  • 3 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup butter, cubed
  • 0.25 cup cold water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix until apples are evenly coated.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour and butter. Use a pastry blender or your hands to combine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Add cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the mixture forms a ball of dough.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough until it is big enough to fit a 9 inch pie plate.
  • Line the pie plate with the dough and trim any excess.
  • Pour the apple mixture into the pie plate and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  • Allow to cool before serving.
