As a passionate food enthusiast, I love to experiment with different ingredients and flavors in the kitchen. Whenever I am looking for inspiration for my blog, I look to my family traditions and recipes. This French Apple Tart with Vanilla Custard was a recipe that my grandmother used to make on special occasions. It’s one of my favorite desserts and I know you will love it too!
The key to making this tart is in the crust. I use a combination of butter and sugar for a delicate, sweet crust. I make sure to roll it out to the perfect thickness and to make sure that the crust is well-baked, so that it doesn’t get soggy from the apples. I also like to use a variety of apples for the filling, to give the tart a sweet and tart flavor.
The final touch is the vanilla custard. I love how it adds a sweetness and creaminess to the tart. I always make sure to let it cool before adding it to the tart, so that the custard doesn’t melt the crust. This is a tart that is sure to impress your friends and family at any gathering!
Variations: You can also use pears, peaches, or berries in place of the apples.
Serving Suggestion: Serve the tart with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
