Expert Baked Apple Rose Tart

Ingredients
- 0.5 cup butter, melted
- 0.5 cup white sugar
- 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 2 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 0.25 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Mix together melted butter, white sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
- Stir in flour and salt until mixture is crumbly.
- Press mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9 inch tart pan.
- In a separate bowl, mix together thinly sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Arrange the apples in a rose pattern in the center of the tart.
- Brush melted butter over the apples.
- Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until apples are soft and golden-brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
