Family-favorite Chinese Egg Fried Rice
Equipment
- Large skillet, wooden spoon, measuring cups and spoons, knife, cutting board
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 4 cups cooked white or brown rice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the frozen vegetables and cook for about 2 minutes, or until thawed and heated through.
- Stir in the cooked rice, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Push the rice to the sides of the skillet to make a well in the center. Pour the beaten eggs into the well and scramble until cooked through.
- Mix the eggs into the rice and vegetables. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Stir in the green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
